Is 17 too late to turn Pro in Tennis?
I'm not boasting or anything, but I guess I do have "natural talent" as they say as I've been playing tennis for the past 7 years (more or less) as a recreational sport and know most of the rules, basics, etc. It wasn't until last year that I felt like I should start taking tennis lessons and play more seriously (I've always wanted to take tennis but never felt the need to urge my parents to send me to lessons). I already have good hand-eye coordination as I play handball and netball in school and I used to run. I don't think I'm a "beginner" in the sense that I can't hit the ball over the net, hitting it slowly, etc. but I guess I have a lot to learn about tennis itself. Honestly, is it too late to turn pro in tennis? I'm willing to dedicate everything to tennis if there was even a possibility to turn pro at some point in the (near) future. How long do you recommend I should take up lessons and practise a day/a week to get really really good? Thanks so much!
