Heartbroken?? WHY did he break up with me??:( Help?!?!?

So I'm 13 and I've been dating this boy since May 15th of this year. Everything has been going perfect and I was planning on seeing him today, but something came up and I couldn't go. He always tells me he loves me and I thought he meant it....and then today I get a text saying: "hey okay I'm so sorry this is over the phone but we don't get to see eachother alot and I think it's best we start seeing different ppl. Sorry." I mean, I don't know what I did wrong....and I k ow this is foolish of me but I really thought this would last a long time...and now I dot know what to do. I know therell be other guys and I know I'm young but I'm so sad and confused..I asked my friend who is also very close to him and she said he told her that he had feelings fir another girl..
