Using ubuntu for a total of 1.5tb Hdd is a good option or not...?

I have a 300 gb hdd..in which i am now using dual boot win 7 and ubuntu...as i brought a new 1.5tb hdd...i am thinking of putting the ubuntu on the entire hdd....will it be a good option...as ex4 do autodefrag...so i think it will be a good thing fir the large hard disc....comments..please...
