You should have let it go and dealt with it afterwards. It was wrong of her to take the hard drive but more wrong of you to hit her. You should have been the bigger person and let it go. But I do see why you did. It's ok accidents happen. Just make sure to apologize for hitting her and maybe She will too. Even though she started it, you should. It's the right thing to do.
