Should I major in something that will guarantee me a job after college, or should I follow my dreams?

I love journalism, but I know that it's a really competitive field and the job prospects by the time I graduate college (2016) aren't too good. So, should I just study something related to medicine, since it would be easier to get a job as say...a nurse, or should I just follow my dreams and study journalism?
