Starting soccer lots of questions?

Should I join the highschool soccer team? Is soccer fun? I haven't played much sports. Any tips? I've played handball in gym class and I've been told I was an excellent goalie. How do you play? Any special rules I should know about? Is it too late to join? Sorry there's so many questions. I've done ballet for about a year so I have good balance and grace I'm also a very fast runner with great hand eye coordination,
