Am I too late to start Professional Tennis?

I'm not boasting or anything, but I play tennis as a recreational sport and I know most of the basics, rules, etc. and can hit the tennis ball pretty quick. I do believe I've got "natural talent" as they say cus I've seen beginners and intermediates who play tennis and honestly, I could very well beat them instantly. I want to take lessons and I'm willing to work really really hard. I know my parents are willing to homeschool me if I would want to take tennis seriously. I'm 17 - do you think it's too late to start playing tennis professionally? I know I have a lot of work to do but I played lots of sport (athletics, handball, netball, etc.) in school anyway and I can already hit the ball all the time. Is that good enough?
